My Specialty and Why I Chose It
I am a pediatric endocrinologist and I provide care to children with hormonal conditions, which include diabetes and disorders of growth and puberty. I chose this specialty so that I can help these children with special needs to optimize their quality of life. I find this very fulfilling and emotionally rewarding.
Practice Philosophy
I believe in open communication with my patients and their parents, and encourage their involvement in the health care decisions. I strongly advocate for patient/parent education and teach the skills that are needed for better health.
I strive to be respectful of the patient’s needs and to provide culturally appropriate care. I support a team approach to provide comprehensive care of children with diabetes. Children have great potential and deserve the best possible health care with compassion.
My Tenure with Kaiser Permanente
I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 1998. The pediatric endocrinology and diabetes services have expanded a great deal since that time. Many new and novel services are available to better serve our patients.
Reasons I Like Working at Kaiser Permanente
Kaiser Permanente provides a wonderful working relationship with my colleagues. I am able to offer the latest treatments and information to my patients. Working at Kaiser Permanente allows me great opportunities to explore and implement new ideas for patient care.
