My Qualifications

When I attended college at the Universtiy of California, Berkeley, I became very interested in the health and injury prevention of workers. When I received my medical degree from the University of Southern California and completed my Internal Medicine residency with Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Los Angeles, I wanted to use this strong clinical foundation to further develop my interest in workers' health and safety. Therefore I pursued and completed my two year fellowship in Occupational Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center. I joined the Permanente Medical Group in 1983 and currently serve as Chief of Occupational Medicine for the Capital Service Area which emcompasses the clinics in Folsom, Roseville and Sacramento. I was involved with the development of the occupational medicine program from its beginning. I am a member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

My Healthcare Practice

As an occupational medicine physician, my goal is to thoroughly evaluate and treat each patient, always aiming toward returning patients to their maximum function. I also see toxicology patients on referral as I have always had an interest in chemical exposures and toxicology. I currently work Monday through Thursday at the Folsom Occupational Medicine Clinic and on Fridays at the Sacramento Occ Med Clinic.
