My Specialty and Why I Chose It

I am a gastroenterologist. This means that I specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the digestive system and the liver. The wide range of diagnostic and treatment options in our specialty made it an attractive field of practice for me. I believe that the care that I provide will have a positive effect on the health of my patients.

My Practice Philosophy

I treat my patients with respect and courtesy, the way that I would expect to be treated myself. In general, I strive to help my patients understand their condition and explain to them the available diagnostic and treatment options, including the risks and benefits of each choice.

My Tenure with Kaiser Permanente

I joined Kaiser Permanente in 1988 and have been a member of the Gastroenterology division in Sacramento and Roseville since then.

Why I Like Practicing Medicine at Kaiser Permanente

I value the high quality of care that my colleagues and I are able to provide to our patients, which is largely due to the collaborative spirit that exists in our medical centers. In spite of the large size of Kaiser Permanente, the medical decisions are made directly between the patient and their physician.

There is a large network of primary care physicians and specialists who work together to provide our members with the most up-to-date health care.

After completing my training, I joined Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento in 1988, where I have been a member of the Gastroenterology division since then. With the expansion of the Roseville campus, I moved my office to the Roseville GI clinic in 2009.
