Hello to all my “old” patients (some of you I have known for many years!) and welcome to anyone who is new. I would like to inform you that I am no longer practicing obstetrics. My sole focus is on the practice of gynecology.

My Approach…

It was an easy choice for me to specialize in Women’s Health. I really enjoy my contacts with women patients through all stages of their lives. My practice philosophy is based on respect for every person. And since each person is truly unique, I have found that careful listening is the key to aid me to empower each person with the means to achieving her health goals.

Why I'm a Kaiser Doctor…

I initially practiced on the East Coast, but moved to California in 1984, and I have been an Obstetrician-Gynecologist with Kaiser since then. If you have not yet discovered all the many advantages to being a Kaiser member, take a moment to see what’s available. We have an excellent Health Education Department with written patient education materials and/or classes on many health topics. Drop in to Health Education the next time you are at one of our facilities. Or take a tour of the website for Kaiser members. Did you know that the pharmacy will mail you your prescriptions? Did you know you can get a blood pressure check or a body fat analysis at many sites? Did you know we have a Breast Clinic where breast problems can be promptly evaluated by a dedicated group of professionals? It is this coordinated and comprehensive team approach to providing health care for you and your family that makes it so satisfying to be a Kaiser doctor.

At Your Appointment…

I would like to prepare you for what will happen when you come to see me for an appointment. You will first meet Bobbie Williams, my medical assistant. Bobbie and I have worked together for over 15 years. She will weigh you and calculate your Body Mass Index (“BMI”); she will take your blood pressure and ask you a few questions. I will make sure you are up-to-date on your gyn screening tests and explain the purpose of the tests. And of course, we will address any questions or concerns you have about your gynecologic health.

My Professional Interests…

I have an interest in Perimenopause and Menopause, and I am on a committee of doctors who review scientific papers and then educate all of our Northern California Kaiser doctors about the latest issues and treatments in Menopause. I have enjoyed collaborating with other doctors from across Northern California Kaiser, and, of course, putting all this up-to-date information to use for my own patients.

My Credentials

Medical school Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA
Internship Brigham and Womens Hospital, Boston, MA
Residency Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA
Board certification Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology

And On A Personal Note…

Mine is a Kaiser family. My husband is a Kaiser doctor at our South Sacramento facility. My two sons are life-long Kaiser members. I enjoy yoga, reading, travelling. The older I get, the more I realize how important the basics are for our long-term health and happiness. Exercise. Healthy diet. Stress reduction. I will preach this to you, my patients, and I try to practice what I preach.

Thank you for reading my Home Page. I hope to see you soon.
