Cosmetic Dermatology Referral Handout

Cosmetic dermatology is not a covered benefit. Elective procedures are offered by our Dermatology departments for an additional fee.

  1. Facial Telansectasias or “broken blood vessels” – these tiny veins often respond well to laser treatments. Call Cosmetic Dermatology at (707) 624-3220. (This service is not offered at this location. For more information on cosmetic services log onto www.kpcosmeticservices.com). For painful or varicose veins, your primary provider will need to make a referral to the surgery clinic.
  2. Skin tags, seborrheic keratosis – these can be treated with liquid nitrogen (“frozen”) or “snipped off.” The fee is approximately $100-200 depending on the number of lesions removed. Call Dermatology at Vacaville (707) 624-3200, Vallejo (707) 651-2552, or Napa (707) 258-4527.
  3. Benign nevi (moles) – shave or excision prices depend on the quantity and location, starting at $160.
  4. Unwanted hair – for removal of dark hair (not light colored or gray hair) call Cosmetic Dermatology at (707) 624-3220. (This service is not offered at this location. For more information on cosmetic services log onto www.kpcosmeticservices.com).
