Urology and Kaiser Permanente

I am a urologist who joined Kaiser Permanente in 2000. I completed urology training at UC Davis Medical Center and came to Kaiser to begin my career. I chose a career in urology because it is a wonderful surgical specialty that allows me to treat a wide variety of diseases. I enjoy both seeing patients in the office and operating. Urology is a field which requires patients to discuss very personal issues, and I hope I am able to make that process a little easier. I truly love what I do, and I do not consider it a "job".

I've been a part of Kaiser Permanente for 4 years (as of July 2004) and I have really been happy here. I know that many people have complaints about their insurance plans and institutions, but I assure you, Kaiser does a great job at providing excellent care to its members. We offer all of the latest technology, testing, and procedures. I feel lucky to be a part of this group and to work with some superb physicians. I have a choice of where to send my husband and children for health care, and we are all cared for by Kaiser.

My Outside Interests

I was born in Redding California and have resided in Northern California nearly my entire life. I am married and have two young, and very active, sons. I really value my family and love spending time with them. My husband and I fly-fish and mountain bike ride when we can. Our goal is to stay healthy and active for as long as possible.
