About Me

I received my medical degree in Pakistan and completed my internal medicine residency Tennessee. My Medical Oncology fellowship was completed in St. Louis, Missouri. I am also an Assistant Professor on the Volunteer Clinical Faculty at the University of California, Davis Medical School. In addition to English I speak fluent Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi.

Outside Interests

When I’m not working I enjoy: reading (omnivorous), travel (my passion), watching tennis on TV (I’m a huge Sampras and Agassi Fan), follow international cricket matches (I root for India and Pakistan), write poetry (English only), shopping (I love it), and I am a true C-Span junkie (I love watching Washington politics).

My Practice

I have been working for Kaiser since 2000. I enjoy spending time with my patients and wish I could do even more. I appreciate the complexities and challenges involved in taking care of patients with cancer. I look forward to your feedback because I aim to stay patient centered.

My Team

I'm blessed with a dedicated hard-working staff. Karin Dempsey, our MA, and her colleagues and the Oncology Nurses provide outstanding service to our patients everyday. If you get a chance, please take a moment to thank them.

My Family

This is what keeps me focused all day long, thinking what my own family means to me, and realizing that cancer affects more than the patient... it affects the whole family. My son Christian, daughter Grace and wife Jocelyn provide a warm wonderful place to go back to after a long day's work.

An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
