Welcome to our Department!

We consider maintaining your health to be the reason why we are here. Our department is located in 3 facilities: the South Sacramento Medical Facility and the Elk Grove Medical Offices at Big Horn and Promenade. Our providers and staff are committed to service excellence, innovation, and quality medical care.

We offer a wide range of services for women, including:

• General preventive care
• Routine obstetrical services
• Menopause education and treatment

Additionally, some of our providers also offer the following:

• Office hysteroscopy
• Incontinence evaluation and treatment
• The Essure® procedure (permanent sterilization)
• Minimally invasive surgery (like laparoscopic hysterectomy)

These procedures required specialized training. Please check with your provider if you are interested in any of these.

The South Sacramento Medical Center and Elk Grove Medical Offices

Your health is why we are here. South Sacramento Medical Center supports healthy living and management of health problems through ready access to your personal physicians in Medicine and Ob/Gyn. When you need it, South Sacramento has a wide array of medical and surgical specialty doctors who are available to care for you. Both facilities also support walk-in mammograms. If it has been more then a year since your last mammogram and you are over the age of 40, then just show up- no appointment necessary!

We believe that health knowledge is essential for healthy living. Our Health Education Centers, located in both facilities, provide classes, books, videos and online information on preventive care, menopause, pregnancy, sexually transmitted disease prevention, common gynecological problems, as well as common medical problems such as hypertension, diabetes and heart disease.
