Exercise

Excercise is one of the number one things that you can do to improve your quality of life. It is also one of the things that people neglect the most. Even 100 years ago, heart attack and stroke were much less common causes of disease. One reason why is that people led much more active lifestyles. When you are walking around all day plowing feels or building a table, your body gets a lot more excercise. Nowadays, all to often, people drive to work and sit behind a desk all day before returning home to sit on the couch and watch TV. What a difference! By excercising you can lower your weight, blood pressure, cholesterol and reduce stress. Most importantly you will feel better. The American Heart Society recommends that people walk at least 30 minutes every day. More is better but that is a minimum. It is never to late to start.

One commonly recommended goal is to take 10,000 steps/day. Studies show that doing this will ensure that you get a good amount of excercise every day. How do you know if you are taking that many steps? One way is to buy a pedometer. A pedometer is a small device that you can buy in our pharmacy for about $10. You clip it to your belt or place it in your pocket and it keeps tract of how many steps that you take every day. Get a pedometer and begin Seeing the Difference...Step by Step
