  • Car Seat Safety Check Centers
  • Safe Kids Accidental injury is the number one killer of America’s children, taking more lives than disease, violence and suicide. Prevention is the cure. It’s estimated that by taking these and other simple precautions, almost all (90 percent) of these accidental injuries can be avoided.
  • Safe Kids Car crashes remain the number one killer of children ages 3-14 in the United States. Safe Kids Buckle Up teaches parents and caregivers to use the right safety gear for kids when they are in vehicles on every ride.
  • National Highway Traffic Safety Vehicle owners across the nation can be instantly informed of a safety recall under a new automated alert system announced Nov. 7 by U.S. Transportation Secretary Mary E. Peters. The recall alerts can be received via e-mail or RSS-feeds on personal computers, cell phones or PDA devices-automatically and free-of-charge.
  • Consumer Safety Product Recalls The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is charged with protecting the public from unreasonable risks of serious injury or death from more than 15,000 types of consumer products under the agency's jurisdiction. Deaths, injuries and property damage from consumer product incidents cost the nation more than $800 billion annually.
