About Me

I grew up in San Francisco and went to college at San Francisco State University. I attended medical school at the University of Southern California School of Medicine and graduated in 1988. I completed an internal medicine residency at Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco between 1988 and 1991. I then went on to do a two year melanoma fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center between 1991 and 1993. I completed a dermatology residency at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI between 1993 and 1996. I began working at Kaiser Permanente in south Sacramento in 1996 and transferred to Pleasanton in 1998. I have been in Pleasanton ever since.

I am a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Alameda-Contra Costa Medical Association, and the San Francisco Dermatologic Society. I enjoy practicing dermatology at Kaiser Permanente and have a special interest in moles and melanoma.

In addition to working at Kaiser Permanente, I also enjoy traveling, gourmet cooking, and spending time with my family (husband and daughter).

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
