Biography
I was born and raised in Hanford, California, a small town in the central San Joaquin valley.
I attended the University of California at Berkeley from 1985 through 1989. With a summer of study at Harvard University in 1989. I completed my BA degree in Physiology, with distinction in general scholarship.
I attended the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine from 1990 through 1994. I served as the UCSF chapter coordinator for the Chicano/Latino Medical Student Association from 1990 to 1992.
My residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation was at the University of California, Davis Medical Center located in Sacramento. This four-year program was completed in 1998. I then joined The Permanente Medical Group with a year of practice in Vallejo (Occupational Medicine Clinic) before transferring to Santa Rosa.
I am certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, a fellow member of the American Academy of PM&R, and a member of the American Academy of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. I am the Assistant Chief and provide care to patients in the Occupational Medicine and Physical Medicine Departments. I perform electrodiagnostic examinations as well as interventional spine injections under fluoroscopy.
In my spare time, I enjoy time with family & friends, good food & wine, classical & jazz music, and skiing/snowboarding.
