I was born and raised the Bay Area near UC Berkeley and became a “Cardinal” by going to Stanford University. After graduating there with degrees in Economics and Biology, I attended USC School of Medicine and got my postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology at VA Wadsworth Medical Center, UCLA. I came back north in 1991 to work here at Kaiser Permanente in Redwood City. This has been a fabulous experience because of its sense of community between patients and staff alike.
In case you’re wondering , despite having ties to four major California universities, I root mostly for Stanford. I also enjoy baseball and fishing.
As an endocrinologist, I deal with a variety of diseases that affect the body’s hormones. My home page has some links on the left side that can give you more information on diabetes, common endocrine drugs, thyroid disease and other endocrine diseases. Below the endocrine information is some general information you may find useful in our efforts to partner with you and keep you healthy. Generally, I see patients by referral from your primary care provider.
Professionally, I serve as one of RWC’s Assistant Physicians in Chief. This leadership role has me focused on many of the operational issues of both the clinics and hospital. I am currently also on the Board of Directors of the San Mateo County Medical Association.
I look forward to partnering with you if our paths should cross and wish you the best of health!!
