About Me

I was born in Baltimore, grew up in its suburbs, and remained in the area through college and medical school. The beauty of San Francisco and the excellence of the residency program at UCSF lured me westward, and this has become my home.

After residency, I spent three years in a private practice Anesthesia group in Springfield, Oregon. I was part a group of skilled professionals with a strong focus on quality and service. However, being away from the Bay Area proved too difficult and I sought to return.

Luckily, I found an opportunity to join the Anesthesiology department at Kaiser Santa Rosa, where I am now part of a group of skilled professionals with a strong focus on quality and service.

My indirect clinical interests include Operating Room Management and I am proud to be the Medical Director of the OR. As part of this role, I work with a regional group that strives to constantly enhance the high quality and efficient delivery of care throughout Kaiser Permanente.

My Credentials

Medical school University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore, MD
Internship Mercy Medical Center, Baltimore, MD
Residency UC San Francisco, San Francisco, CA
Board certification Anesthesiology, American Board of Anesthesiology

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
