About Me

I am originally from Syracuse, NY, and I have recently completed a 4 year residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the University of Washington in Seattle. I chose PM&R because it allows me to work with a vast array of patient populations. I can assist in improving the quality of life for patients with disabilities, and I can also provide pain relief for those in need. I am thankful that working for Kaiser Permanente enables me to focus all of my attention on patient care. My philosophy of care is to listen closely to patient’s concerns and symptoms, and then work with the patient to develop a treatment plan that they understand. My specific interests in PM&R include stroke rehab, spine care, musculoskeletal medicine, and electrodiagnostic testing. I am a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and I am Board Certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

I also have a passion for volunteer work, and, among other things, I have recently been involved in tutoring underprivileged young children and assisting with adaptive sporting events such as basketball and scuba diving.

My interests outside of medicine include playing sports, such as basketball and tennis, and participating in many outdoor activities, such as hiking and mountaineering. I have successfully climbed Mt Rainier and Mt McKinley!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
