Hi! Thanks for visiting my homepage. I hope to use this homepage as a tool to better patient-physician communication! At the same time, I would like to provide you with great resources specific to your child’s needs and condition.

My specialty is pediatric gastroenterology. This is the field that focuses on the intestinal tract including the esophagus, stomach, small intestines and colon as well as the liver and pancreas. I choose this field because I find it fascinating! There are so many new and exciting tools we use in GI.

For easy access, please bookmark this page, as I think you will find this page an invaluable reference for you and your child. I will also refer to this website frequently during visits to offer reference materials, education, and instruction.

The first step to better your child’s care here at Kaiser Permanente is to create a free account with us. This will allow you to email me directly as well as having full access to all your child’s medical records including recent lab and x-ray reports.

If you are new to Kaiser Oakland/Alameda, our how to access care section is a great place to get started.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
