My Practice Philosophy

I try to place myself in the patient’s shoes, understanding that many of them bring their fears and vulnerabilities when coming to the Emergency Department. It is my goal to be compassionate and knowledgeable, to help patients and their loved ones feel empowered in their time of need.

About Me

I was born in Jersey City, New Jersey and raised in Columbus, Ohio. I received my degree in International Studies and Anthropology at Case Western Reserve University in 2001, graduating Summa Cum Laude. I gradated from Ohio State University College of Medicine in 2005. I completed my Emergency Medicine Residency program at Harvard Medical School’s Brigham Women’s Hospital. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2009.

My Interests

My professional interest is medical education and ultrasound. During my leisure, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, international travel and Hindi films. In addition to English, I speak Spanish and Gujarati.

My Credentials

Medical school Ohio State University College of Medicine, Columbus, OH

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
