About Me

Thanks for visiting my web page. Here's where you can learn a bit about me and why I practice pediatrics at Kaiser Santa Rosa. I'd encourage you to also check out the links over to the left to learn more about our facility, how to use our high tech resources and some select sources of reliable medical information I've chosen to include. I've been a pediatrician at Kaiser Santa Rosa for over 25 years and still love seeing kids and taking care of them – It's a great job to have but not one that I would have ever guessed I’d be doing back when I was still in school.

I started my undergraduate study in Engineering at Purdue. It was a hard decision for me to choose between engineering and biology and ended up transferring to Stanford the following year where I pursued a degree in Biology. It was the study of anatomy and physiology introduced me to medicine as a possible career. From Stanford I went to Houston to attend Baylor Medical School. I completed my four years of Residency training in Pediatrics at the University of California at San Francisco with an additional year of training as Chief Resident in Pediatrics at San Francisco General Hospital. I joined Kaiser Santa Rosa in 1983. At that time our offices were just one building on Bicentennial Way and we used old Community Hospital as our hospital. More About Me

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
