About Me

Welcome to the Autism Spectrum Disorder Center. My clinical experience includes working with children, teens, and adults in home, clinic, school, and hospital settings. I have specialized training and experience in psychological assessment and autism spectrum disorders including behavioral, developmental, social, educational, and other various treatments. My interest in autism spectrum disorders came early in my studies and my work has included 1:1 sessions, social skills groups, anxiety management groups, crisis intervention, parent education classes, assisting in the Individualized Education Plan process, and teaching about neuro-cognitive disorders. I am continually touched by the compassion of the families that I have worked with.

My Background

My pre-doctoral and post-doctoral internships were at Children’s Hospital Oakland, where I worked in the Autism Intervention Program (an early intervention program for children 0-3 years), as well as diagnosing, assessment, and research at the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. I spent the next two years at the Orion Academy, a college-preparatory high school for students with neuro-cognitive disorders (including Asperger’s Syndrome and Non-Verbal Learning Disorder), and then at Clearwater Counseling and Assessment Services, where I provided psychological assessment.

My Recommendations

I believe in early intervention, a multidisciplinary approach, and evidence-based treatments. Families often know their child best and I believe in working with the family to tailor treatment plans, with appropriate goals, to their child. We have an excellent department with dedicated professionals. I look forward to your visit.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
