My Specialty and Why I Chose It

I am a family physician who deals with all general medical problems. Family practice contains all of what I love about the medical profession: comprehensive care, patient continuity, preventive medicine and the joy of treating both adults and children. It is a field for which I have great enthusiasm.

My Practice Philosophy

As a primary care physician, I value the preventive care medicine. Patient health is my top priority and I expect my patients to actively participate and be fully involved in the health care process. I value the deep relationship with my patient as I act as their first contact and the coordinator of their health.

My Tenure With Kaiser Permanente

I have been a part of Kaiser Permanente since May 2008. I enjoy the supportive teamwork and the collegial environment at Kaiser Permanente. I take pleasure in providing the comprehensive preventive medicine in the clinic as well as the focused After Hour Appointed Care.

In addition, Kaiser Permanente has an integrative system, including a robust electronic medical system which allows me to access patient information with ease. It has an excellent clinical support team including clinical health educators for chronic conditions management (i.e. diabetes, cholesterol, high blood pressure, asthma, COPD and congestive heart failure classes).

On a Personal Note

Aside from medical training, I believe good communication with patients is important in delivering the best health care. I am fluent in four languages: English, Mandarin, Taiwanese and Spanish. I studied Spanish when I was a child living in Buenos Aires. I am happy that my language skills have served my patients well, ensuring that they receive the quality medical treatment they come to seek.

Be sure to visit the Kaiser Permanente Website for additional information regarding appointments, prescriptions, health education classes and other health-related topics. You can also click on my department link above to receive additional health information.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
