About Me and My Profession

My name is Tuan M. Nguyen. I am a California Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.), and I am currently working with Kaiser Permanente Medical Group in Roseville, California. I received my training in Acupuncture & Oriental medicine from South Baylo University in Southern California.

In 1993, after being licensed by the California Acupuncture Board, I opened my own private practice in Sacramento. I am also appointed a Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) by the State of California of the Division of Workers’ Compensation-Medical Unit.

My Tenure at Kaiser Permanente

In February 1997, I joined Kaiser Permanente Medical Group-Physical Medicine Department in Roseville to provide acupuncture for patients with chronic pain. At Kaiser Permanente, I treat only patients referred by Kaiser physicians, and my practice is limited to acupuncture for musculoskeletal pain disorders.

Why I Like Practicing Acupuncture at Kaiser Permanente

I enjoyed working for Kaiser, since I can concentrate more on patient care than practice management.

After being referred by your doctor, you will receive an appointment date to see me, and I’ll be glad to answer any questions regarding acupuncture.

Be sure to visit the Kaiser Permanente Website for additional information regarding appointments, prescriptions, health education classes and other health-related topics. You can also click on my department link above to receive additional health information.
