About Me

Many patients and families often ask me what I would do if I were them. I tell them that I would make that decision as if I were treating one of my own parents.

Fortunately, there are many more options that are available now to help patients than there were even five or ten years ago. As a vascular surgeon, I am able to provide both open surgical and endovascular procedures to treat patients. In some cases patients go home a day or two after a procedure.

However, some vascular problems can not be fully treated or cured and I plan to be there for my patients to offer the best alternatives for them to continue their quality of life.

I grew up in the bay area and went college and graduate school at Cal Berkeley as an engineer. I then spent the next ten years of my life in New York for medical school and residency. I have recently completed a two year fellowship at Stanford University in vascular and endovascular surgery.

My Credentials

Medical school New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY
Residency Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown, NY
Fellowship Stanford University, Stanford, CA

Board certification Surgery, American Board of Surgery

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
