Welcome to My Home Page!

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with specialties in child, adolescent, and family therapy; developmental psychology; ADHD; and experimental and research psychology. I have been an adjunct professor of psychology at JFK University, School of Professional Psychology where I taught for 3 years and served and chaired dissertations in clinical psychology. I have also been a therapist and wrap around facilitator for Contra Costa County, Children’s Mental Health where I worked for five years before coming to Kaiser Permanente Walnut Creek in 2001. I joined the child, adolescent, and family team as a therapist.

I have worked with individuals of all ages, with a broad spectrum of issues and cultural backgrounds, and have been influenced by Developmental Psychology, Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioral, and Family Therapeutic approaches. I provide individual, family, and group therapy. I am warm, empathic, and strength based in my approach to therapy. My professional interests include ADHD, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, child development, family dynamics, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, adjustment and phase of life issues. If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
