Welcome to my Home Page!

Thank you for visiting my home page. I am dedicated to giving you the best possible care. My intention is to make your experience as useful and easy as possible, and my site is designed to help you find the information you need. Please take a minute to explore the links to Mental Health Information on topics such as depression, anxiety, substance use, sleep disturbance, and other common problems that many adults face. You will also find links to other services such as the Kaiser Permanente Members' website where you can order refills, locate additional health information, and book an appointment with your primary care provider.

A bit about my background:

My undergraduate degree is in Applied Music from Indiana University. I earned my Master of Arts degree in Psychology as well as my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Wright Institute. I completed a one-year Internship at St. Mary’s Hospital in San Francisco, and then a one-year Post-doctoral residency in Adult Psychiatry at Kaiser Permanente in Walnut Creek. Primarily, I work with adults, and specialize in crisis intervention and the management of depression and anxiety. I have a special interest in challenges surrounding life transitions, and appreciate the way various transitions bring important issues to the fore, creating opportunities for individuals to reshape their lives in meaningful ways. I also enjoy working with older adults. Much of my work takes place in groups, where I find that the support and experience of group members is often as helpful to others as my own input.I encourage regular exercise, such as walking, as an important part of well being.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
