Welcome to My Home Page!
Born from a family of physicians, the roots of medicine were instilled in me at a very early age. From this influence, my path to medicine emerged and grew. My experience during the war in Croatia as a physician in a refugee camp and emergency unit left a tremendous impact on my life. Through this experience, I have learned what patients are looking for in a physician: commitment, compassion, understanding a patient’s needs, and the improvement of medical skills. I believe that medicine is continually advancing. So in my own life, I am constantly looking for ways to improve. In the same way, I unceasingly look for opportunities to help my patients improve their health and well being. I have been practicing medicine since 1994, and my responsibility to my patients has always been to be caring, dedicated, and vigilant in helping them achieve and maintain good health. I treat my patients the way I would want my own family to be treated.
I am glad to be working for Kaiser Permanente because we provide an extensive array of patient care services under one roof. We also have a multidisciplinary approach to care, which I believe greatly benefits our patients.
I am an anesthesiologist, and my particular interests are related to regional anesthesia and pain medicine. I received clinical training in pain management at the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. I was also a Life Flight physician at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
Professional Affiliations
I am a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
Other Languages
In addition to English, I also speak Croatian fluently, and conversational Italian, French, German, and Spanish.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
