My Specialty and Why I Chose It

I am a family physician. I have been trained to care for a wide age-range of patients and their healthcare needs. I chose family medicine because of the diversity of patients, the philosophy of caring for the whole family and the variety of disciplines included under "Family Medicine".

My Practice Philosophy

I believe my role is to partner with the patient, as we navigate the journey to obtaining or maintaining good health. There is more than one way to achieve this and my plan is to utilize whatever is needed to accomplish this.

My Credentials

Medical school David Geffen School of Medicine - UCLA, Los Angeles, CA
Residency Santa Monica UCLA Family Practice, Santa Monica, CA

My Tenure with Kaiser Permanente

Although I have only been working at Kaiser Permanente since November 2006, I was actually born and raised at Kaiser San Francisco. When I first decided to become a doctor, at age 8, I pictured myself at Kaiser. So now, I feel like I have come home!

Why I Like Practicing Medicine at Kaiser Permanente

I chose Kaiser Permanente because it is a well established organization with a reputation of delivering quality healthcare for decades. Kaiser provides the support physicians need to provide excellent healthcare and gives them the freedom to practice good medicine.

My Professional Interests and Affiliations

I am an active member of the Capital Medical Society and the American Academy of Family Physicians. I also volunteer at the Imani Clinic in Oak Park where I supervise medical students and see patients too. Volunteering at Imani allows me the opportunity to give back to the community and to reach back and help those future doctors coming behind me.

On a Personal Note…

San Francisco, California is my home town where I was born and raised. I have also lived in Marin county, Los Angeles, southern Illinois, and the Washington D.C. area. Traveling and exploring new places is a passion of mine, as well as listening to jazz and old school music, going to sports events, seeing plays and movies, and most of all, spending time with my husband and two sons.
