Mountain View Psychiatry Department's Philosophy

At this clinic, we want to provide the best care possible for you. We believe in treating the whole person with the focus on mind-body wellness. We can offer you group therapy, individual therapy, and medication evaluation depending on our comprehensive assessment of what would be the best care for your particular problem. As therapists, we believe that group therapy is very helpful and is an important benefit to offer our members. We are particularly skilled in bringing this form of treatment to our members. Our clinic is a comfortable and welcoming environment for members to come and receive treatment. We look forward to working with you.

About Me

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist since 1986. I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from Colgate University in upstate New York, and my graduate degree in clinical psychology from the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology in Palo Alto, California. Prior to coming to Kaiser, 2006, I worked in private practice and in the Employee Assistance Program field, serving adults, couples and adolescents. I have worked also in community psychiatry in both inpatient and outpatient services.

Special Interests

Special areas of clinical interests are critical incident stress debriefing for police and fire personnel, men's issues and sports psychology. On the personal side, I enjoy reading, golf, yoga and baseball.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
