Welcome to my Home Page! This page will tell you a little about my background and interests.

Nutrition is an important aspect of your overall health. My goal is to help you learn about science-based nutrition. In our session, you will learn about healthy foods and practical ways to include those foods in your daily eating. Together we can develop a plan that will help you meet your individual nutrition needs. I look forward to meeting you and helping you improve your nutrition.

I graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition. After graduation, I completed over 900 hours in a dietetic internship at West Virginia University Hospital. In 1999, I became a Registered Dietitian by passing a national exam. I am an active member of the American Dietetic Association.

My work experiences include educating women & children in a community nutrition program, serving the nursing home population, and working in large and small hospitals. When I’m not at work, I enjoy gardening, cooking, waterskiing, hiking and experimenting with photography.

Services:

I meet with patients who have various medical concerns including, but not limited to, diabetes and gestational diabetes, kidney diseases, weight management, gastric bypass, cholesterol and heart disease, tube feeding, stomach and intestinal problems, and vegetarian diets. If you would like to make an individual appointment with me, please ask your provider for a referral.

Nutrition Advice Line:

Leave a message with any basic nutrition-related question at (650) 299-3315. I will respond within three working days.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
