About Me
I was born in Shanghai, China and my family moved to Jiangxi, East of China when I was in kindergarten. Both of my parents were teachers teaching history. When I was in elementary school, they began to educate me on a concept that becoming a doctor was a noble and stable profession; everybody needed doctors in his or her life, no matter who he or she was, from generations to generations. Doctors are white-coat angels and this is a respectful profession. Doctors can reduce the pain and suffering as well as to help patients to recover. I started my medical journey at Jiangxi Medical College, Nanchang, China, received my Bachelor of Medicine degree; I then went to graduate school and obtained my Master of Medicine degree in Diagnostic Radiology at Tongji Medical University, Wuhan, China. After I graduated, I began my residency in Radiology in the same institution.
I continued my education by moving to the United States and finished my residency in Nuclear Medicine at University of California, Davis Medical Center and residency in Radiology at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, New Jersey. I also completed my fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging at University of California, Irvine Medical Center. My medical interests are Musculoskeletal Radiology (MSK) and Nuclear Medicine.
Kaiser Permanente is a well-balanced organization which provides an excellent working environment. Its primary objective is preventive care which I totally agree with. In addition, its equipment is advance. I also enjoy working in teamwork settings where the team of physicians here are a group of caring professionals. I have always wanted to return to the Central Valley and the area here is an ideal place to live and the people are warm and friendly.
Besides English, I am fluent in Mandarin, Chinese. When I am not at work, I like going to movies, reading and traveling. I also like outdoor activities such as jogging and swimming.
My Philosophy of Care
I am here to help the patient and my clinical colleagues, to use my medical knowledge and modern imaging techniques to identify patients’ problems, to give possible differential diagnoses and to provide most accurate diagnoses. I will also give the most reasonable recommendations for further management and treatment to patients, so that I can help other clinicians to treat the patients effectively. I am here to take care of patients and to become a better doctor. I will treat my patients as my own family and provide the best possible service I can.
Our entire Radiology Department and I want to be certain that all of your concerns are addressed. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
