My Biography
I earned my medical degree at the Sun Yat-Sen University of Medical Science (Guangdong Province, China). Prior to assuming medical practice, I worked as a research scientist for seven years, first with Hoffman-La Roche then the University of California at San Francisco. After a residency at Kaiser Foundation Hospital, San Francisco and a fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center in the Division of Nephrology, I began my practice as a physician and joined Kaiser Permanente in 2003.
Kidney diseases are chronic health conditions that challenge both patients and physicians. My aim is to provide the best possible medical care, as well as sharing with my patients that current understanding of kidney diseases. My primary research interests are glomerulonephritides and transplantation. Providing attentive care to dialysis patients takes a major priority in my clinical practice.
During my spare time, I enjoy music, hiking, and biking with my family.
