How to Use My Home Page...

My Biography

Hi! Welcome to my Web page. I hope you will find this useful. I'm an East coast native that has found a home here on the West coast.

I consider working at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco to be a privilege. Here, I share in the unique opportunity to provide neurological care to a vibrant, diverse community. My transition from an academic practice to a community-based one has been a wonderful opportunity for me to focus on caring for individuals with neurological conditions. The transition has allowed me to teach and learn from my relationships with patients and their caregivers. The warmth and strength that patients evince amazes me.

My professional goals are simple: I want to educate patients about their conditions, find better treatments to promote healthier lives, and build a successful community practice alongside other friendly and dedicated healthcare professionals.

I love to hike, exercise and travel. I have visited 10 different countries on five continents in the past several years. My greatest passion is soccer, both as a player and as a fan. I spent several weeks in Germany cheering on the U.S. team at the World Cup!

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
