Dear Patient,
Thank you for choosing Kaiser Permanente to provide for your healthcare. I would be honored to be your Primary Care Physician. We at Gilroy feel very strongly that each patient should choose someone to be their Primary Care Physician in order to develop a trusting relationship and to coordinate all of his or her healthcare needs. As you may realize, I am not always available. In that case, please feel free to see one of my partners, who I know and trust, and who will be happy to meet your healthcare needs. Your choice of me as your personal physician will be entered into our computerized database, which will assist you when you call in to make an appointment with me. Your personal physician is identified on your registration slip, and if you feel that it is incorrect please let me or my staff know so that we can update the information.

About Me
I was born and raised in Iran. I earned my medical degree from Yazd University. I came to the United States to continue my medical education. Before attending my residency, I did research work at John Hopkins University hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. I completed my residency at York Hospital in Pennsylvania. I am board certified by the American Board of Family Practice. I am married with two young children. When I am not practicing medicine, i enjoy spending time with my family. I also enjoy reading, swimming, out door activities and traveling.

My Thoughts and Beliefs
I grew up in a household of physicians, so dinner table topics almost always included conversations around health issues. As a result of these early experiences with my family, I knew from a young age that I had a strong desire to become a physician as well. I strive to treat my patients as I would expect myself or my family member to be treated. I emphasize health education and preventative medicine with my patients.

I decided to specialize in family practice because it provided me with the opportunity to provide care to patients across the entire spectrum. The arena of women's health has always been of keen interest to me. I am interested in providing high level health care to women of all ages and particularly enjoy the diversity of our population in Gilroy which adds tremendous richness to my practice of medicine.

I have enjoyed practicing family medicine here at Kaiser Permanente because I am part of a great team and have excellent access to specialty care.
