Welcome to Kaiser, Oakland. My practice is in the Department of Internal Medicine, located in 4B in the Fabiola Building.

I am very excited to join the Kaiser Permanente Medical Group. Kaiser offers its physicians many resources to not only treat patients when they are ill, but also to keep its members healthy and productive.

I chose a career in internal medicine, or adult medicine, for many reasons. Most importantly, I love working with patients to achieve health and emotional well being through preventive medicine. I also enjoy working with patients over time. It is very fulfilling to know my patients personally and share in their health care decisions.

I am also involved with the Young Adult Clinic, the first program of its kind in the Kaiser Permanente Northern California region. This Clinic is specifically geared towards the health needs and concerns of people from ages 18 to 25.

My basic practice philosophy is that of teamwork. My role as a physician is to know the most current medical information and provide it to my patients. I then expect to work together with my patients to make decisions. I also hope to help my patients navigate the many resources of the Kaiser system.

When I am not at work, I am busy raising my two children and spending time with my husband and extended family.

I look forward to meeting all of my patients and participating in their health care.
