My Biography

I had always heard about the superb quality of Kaiser Permanente’s health care, and my entire family was situated in the Bay area, so coming to Kaiser Permanente was a natural choice for me. I have found a wonderful workplace environment here--one that is less formal than my prior semi-private practice--as well as a spirit of collaboration amongst highly professional colleagues. This is a very cooperative environment, which reduces workplace stress. My colleagues and I work with the most current technologies, and we are interested in helping one another to succeed. We all learn to be humble in medicine.

I enjoy my work tremendously because I love people! I like the investigational nature of internal medicine and I enjoy speaking with patients about their challenges. Thus, my special interests in patient education are a natural outgrowth for me. I am interested in learning more about disease, its nature and its course.

Outside of the office, I love to dance, try new restaurants, and travel. Most recently, I visited Cancun, and I have New Zealand up next! I eat healthy, mostly organic, food and I maintain a positive attitude and outlook.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
