My Biography
Hello, and welcome to my internet home page. I hope that you will find it to be helpful in getting to know me better.
I was born in a small town in upstate New York, and I have spent much of my recent life in large cities, including New York and San Francisco. As a first generation American, and having lived throughout the United States in cities both big and small, I have been, and continue to be, aware of the importance of diversity in our country. I value this diversity, and I find that talking to patients of different backgrounds is one of the most gratifying aspects of my work.
I joined Kaiser in 2005. I chose to work at Kaiser Permanente in Northern California because I felt that it offered me the opportunity to provide outstanding health care to patients of interesting and varied backgrounds. I also value the way in which Kaiser Permanente has been improving access to health care, especially since I believe that access to first rate health care is something which we all deserve. I think you will find that Eye Department here at Kaiser Permanente in Daly City is filled with hard-working, friendly people who will do everything that they can to help you.
As an ophthalmologist, I treat medical and surgical conditions of the eyes. As a physician, I recognize that the eyes provide insights into the physical health of my patients. As a person, I understand how important vision is to our ability to live, work, and thrive. I decided to become an ophthalmologist largely because I considered the eye to be so fascinating and our vision to be so important. I understand how much we all depend upon our eyes, and I consider it a privilege to be involved in caring for your sight. It is my philosophy to treat my patients as though they were my own mother or father, and in doing so, I hope to always deliver the very best care that I am capable of, to all of my patients. I look forward to getting to know you, and to helping you enjoy your vision, and your life, to the fullest.
In my off time I enjoy travel, cooking, music, and a variety of sports.
As an Ophthalmologist, I take appointments by referral. If you do not already have a referral, please call our appointment/advice line at (650) 742-2100 to make an appointment with a general practitioner. To make an appointment in our sub-specialty department, please call (650) 301-5800.
Our goal at Kaiser Permanente is to be your health plan of choice and deliver the quality medical care our members deserve. Thank you again for choosing Kaiser Permanente.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
