C.A.N. 2000 Fundraiser, March 25, 2000

Cure Autism Now (C.A.N.) is a non-profit organization for parental support of children with autism. The organization does research, raises funds, and gives parents updated information and resources for body=mini/hw152184/hw152186&navtop=mini/hw152184/navtop.html&topic=Autism Autism Overview].

C.A.N. holds an annual auction as a fundraiser for autism research and invites various sports and big screen celebrities from the Bay Area to the event. I had the pleasure of mixing with the ''rich and famous'' at last year's event, held on March 25, 2000, and was star struck by the likes of Anthony Edwards (E.R.), Jerry Rice (SF 49'ers), Ronnie Lot (49'ers), Merton Hanks (49'ers), and Gil Bellows (Ally McBeal). I was also fortunate enough to have my picture taken with Shawn Springs (Seattle Seahawks) and Rene Russo (actress). Last year's event was held in Hillsborough, California.

This is a picture of my son Seth at 5 years old with me. He has PDD - Pervasive Developmental Disorder. Seth is now 16.
