My Biography

I love working with kids - you see a lot of variety because there are different challenges at different ages. There's a lot of education, and dealing with developmental and psychosocial issues. My goal is to guide parents to raise healthy, happy, and self-reliant kids.

I work on obesity education within our department; we're piloting classes for parents and kids in a family-based program for overweight kids which I think will be awesome. Regionally I teach Kaiser physicians and nurses how to manage pediatric emergencies.

I grew up in Berkeley, California. My husband is a pediatric cardiologist with Kaiser and we have two children in college. I have a white-and-grey mini-lop rabbit named Misty. I enjoy gourmet cooking and growing orchids.
