My Practice Philosophy
I believe that I am the patient's advocate and I will work with you to achieve good health and prevent disease.
About Me
I received my B.S. from the University of California at Los Angeles in Biology and Engineering. I went on to receive my medical degree from New York Medical College in 2002. I completed my residency in Internal Medicine at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, Santa Clara and joined the staff at Kaiser Permanente in 2005. I also received my PhD. in Public Health/Epidemiology from the University of California at San Diego. I am certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and The American Board of Obesity Medicine.
My Interests
My medical interests include obesity and weight loss, women's health, ethnic differences in disease prevalence and public health/epidemiology.
I can speak Konkani (an Indian language) and limited Spanish as well as English. My personal interests include travel, photography, running marathons, painting and jewelry design, music, and preparing ethnic cuisine.
