Dr Nguyen was born and raised in Saigon, Vietnam. Her education is local, in that she attended De Anza College for her Pre-Pharmacy education and went on to the University of the Pacific School of Pharmacy where she received her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. While there, she was a member of the Phi-Kappa-Phi Honor Society, Rho-Chi Honor Society.

She completed her clinical pharmacy residency at Palo Alto Veteran's Affairs Health Care System where she spent 9 years with an inpatient clinical pharmacy practice. She has worked at Kaiser since 2001, managing the Ambulatory Care-Anticoagulation Service and Cholesterol & Chronic Heart Failure Programs.

Dr Nguyen speaks fluent Vietnamese and volunteers her time as a member of the Board of Director of VNHelp, a non-profit organization that raises money to help underserved children in Vietnam interested in the fields of education, health & cultural exchange.

Dr Nguyen appreciates the freedom and opportunities here in her new home country and has always felt the need to give back, by volunteering her time helping people who are less fortunate.

Her personal hobbies include reading, walking, hiking, swimming, skiing & traveling.
