Welcome to my Home Page

I have been an optometrist with Kaiser Permanente in Fresno since 1988. Having grown up in the San Francisco area, people often wonder how I came to live in Fresno. After earning a bachelors degree in zoology from UC Davis, I attended the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton for my Doctorate of Optometry. There, I met and married another optometrist, a Fresno State grad who wanted to return to his hometown (Go Bulldogs!)

My husband and I have three athletic children who keep us very busy. We are involved in basketball, soccer, dance, and scouts, and we also enjoy camping, fishing, and kayaking. My other jobs are Cub Scout den mom and art docent for the local elementary school, where I give art classes twice a month.

I enjoy working at Kaiser Permanente because it allows me to focus on patient care and treatment, without the distractions of running a business. In addition to general eye care, I provide low vision services to patients with special visual needs.

Thank you for visiting my home page. I look forward to providing eye care for you and your family.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
