I am a native of the Central Valley where I was born and raised in Selma, California. I am a graduate of Selma High School and attended Reedley College. I attended the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, California where I earned my doctor of optometry degree in 1976.

I began my career with Kaiser Permanente Fresno by opening the Optometry Department in 1987 after being in private practice for 10 years.

Of all the Kaiser Permanente slogans my favorite is “Good People, Good Medicine.” I truly believe the people I have the privilege of working with here at Kaiser Permanente live up to this by providing excellent care to our members every day.

I have always enjoyed displaying pictures of my two children in my exam room. Patients who I provided care for many years have seen these pictures change and watched my children grow to young adults.

Please take advantage of my home page to access information that may answer some of your questions. I look forward to seeing you on your next visit.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
