About Me

I have worked for Kaiser Permanente for over 25 years. I'm a native Californian, born and raised in Los Angeles. I obtained my doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Southern California. Then, I went to medical school at the University of California Irvine (1976) and completed my residency at the University of Wisconsin.

I am also a fellow of the American College of Physicians. I am board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

I have a full-time practice, and spend comprehensive time with my patients during office visits to ensure that I provide the utmost care to each patient. Sometimes this causes me to run behind my appointment schedule, but each patient receives my full attention once in the exam room. Most of my patients have been with me for some time and consistently give me high marks for member/patient satisfaction.

My Interests

When I'm not busy attending to patients, I enjoy spending time with my wife, who is a dermatologist. I have a special interest in opera and have traveled extensively.

My Credentials

Medical school UC Irvine School of Medicine, Irvine, CA
Internship Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Long Beach, CA
Residency University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, Madison, WI
Board certification Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
