Welcome

The Department of Medical Imaging conducts and interprets over 100,000 exams annually. These include plain radiography, ultrasonography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, radionuclide imaging, mammography, fluoroscopy, and image-guided biopsies and catheteric drainages.

The Department's personnel includes eight physicians (radiologists) and over a hundred other staff members (including technologists and clerks, etc.). Radiologists and technologists are available to clinical providers for patient care 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Imaging is conducted at the Hospital as well as at the Stein Building and Rohnert Park locations, and we anticipate extensive imaging will be performed adjacent to the Stein Building when the MOB 5 project is completed.

Computed tomographic, ultrasonographic, radionuclide and some other images are available securely throughout Northern California Kaiser through a system-wide image storage, retrieval and review process. With proper, secure access, providers and consultants can view patients' images -- even at other Kaiser sites -- in an effort to enhance and expedite consultations. This is just one example of a number of positive, innovative aspects of Medical Imaging at Kaiser Santa Rosa.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
