About Me

I was born in New York City and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. I attended Yale University from which I graduated Magna cum Laude with distinction in my major of American studies. I became interested in pursuing a medical career after an unexpected encounter with the front end of a Chevy on a sidewalk in Manhattan. I then pursued pre-medical studies at Bryn Mawr College and earned my medical degree from Stanford University in 1988. I completed my internship and residency in pediatrics at Stanford University Medical Center.

I am Chief of Pediatrics at Mountain View Kaiser, where I have worked since 1997. I am a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP). I am board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

My Interests

I am married and have two children. I am an avid reader and enjoy regular exercise, especially swimming, pilates, and skiing. I also appeared as an extra in the television series "ER".
