What To Do While The Doctor Is Away

View of San Andreas Fault Scarp Near New Cyuma
There may be rare occasions when you require medical attention and I am unavailable. (Like when I'm off photographing earthquake faults or at night when I sleep.) On those occasions, we will ensure that you see one of my colleagues ( who have evolved into Organisms that no longer vacation or sleep) in my primary care module:
Victor Cucina, M.D., Beverly Kirsch, FNP, Steve Rich, M.D., Nannette Meyers, M.D., Richard Zweig, M.D., Jack Clark, M.D., Jack Trowbridge, M.D., Anthony Boyce, M.D., Cheryl Green, M.D.

On my module, my colleagues also include a Clinical Health Educator, a Behavioral Medicine Consultant, and a Physical Therapist. The Clinical Health Educator can provide you with health education and skills toward life style modification. The Behavioral Medicine Consultant is available for anxiety, depression or stress related illnesses. The Physical Therapist is available for musculoskeletal injuries and education for improved body mechanics.

Appointments can be booked directly with these providers.

Did you know you can order your medication refills online now? You can also avoid driving, parking and standing in line at the pharmacy by having your refills mailed to your home. Click on the Appointments/Rx refills link to learn how. You call also take advantage of mail refills by calling the refill recorder number on your prescription bottle. I used it on a Sunday morning and got my refill on Tuesday afternoon - which is WAY better than standing in line at the pharmacy for three days...

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
