My Specialty and Why I Chose It

I am a nurse practitioner in psychiatry. This means I treat patients with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and adult attention deficit. I decided to transfer to psychiatry from adult medicine because I had seven years of prior experience as a registered nurse working in patient psychiatry and I find it rewarding to work with this population.

My Practice Philosophy

My practice philosophy is that every person deserves the best possible care that is evidence-based and delivered in compassion.

My Tenure with Kaiser Permanente

I have been a part of Kaiser Permanente for 6 years. Over that time, I have really come to appreciate the wonderful care and service Kaiser provides.

Why I Chose Kaiser Permanente

I believe the Kaiser Permanente philosophy to provide affordable, high quality health care and to improve the health and well-being of our members. I find practicing at Kaiser Permanente very rewarding.

On a Personal Note. . .

I worked as a registered nurse for 8 years before I became a nurse practitioner. I have worked in a mental health clinic for the underserved and as a public health nurse. I have also worked at a school clinic and in adult medicine.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
