My Specialty and Why I Chose It

I am a Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Orthopedics. I chose orthopedics because of my interest in the musculoskeletal system and previous background as a chiropractor working with spinal and sports injuries. I work closely with the orthopedic surgeons seeing patients in the clinic, hospital and assisting in surgery.

My Practice Philosophy

I like to take a holistic approach to health care. I feel that listening to the patient, educating them in preventive medicine and personalized instruction, are key elements to improve the healing of injuries and overall health.

My Tenure with Kaiser Permanente

I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 2000. I really enjoy seeing patients and working with the orthopedic physicians in our department. I chose to work at Kaiser Permanente because of the team approach to health care and the resources to provide excellent patient care.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
