Welcome to my Home Page...
I joined the Kaiser Permanente South San Francisco team in 2007 as a resident in the Child & Adolescent division of the Psychiatry Department, and in 2008 I began working full-time as a Bariatric Psychologist, and then transferred to regular Adult Psychiatry in August of 2010.
In my role as a Clinical Psychologist I strive to help patients alleviate and/or stabilize psychological symptoms that are impacting their daily functioning and causing them to suffer. In addition, I consider it very important to help patients learn about their overall health and healthcare resources in an effort to promote self-care and proactive health management. My graduate training in Psychodynamic psychotherapy is combined with Kaiser's models of best-practice evidence-based treatment to provide a comprehensive understanding of a patient's unique clinical profile paired with highly-effective, outcome-oriented care. My duties with the Division of Adult Psychiatry include individual screening and return appointments, emergency medicine and hospital consults, as well as group treatments including small process group, Rapid Symptom Reduction Cognitive Behavioral group, and Dialectical Behavioral Coping Skills group.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
