Introduction
Welcome and thank you for visiting my homepage. I’m fortunate to be a hospitalist at Kaiser Permanente San Jose, working with a great, committed group. It’s my privilege to be involved in your care
About Me
I grew up in Silicon Valley, went to Michigan for medical school and residency, then Baltimore for fellowship. I really enjoyed working and learning in different environments, and am delighted to be back in Northern California, where my family lives.
My Interests
I'm interested in health care quality initiatives, and love being part of a team effort. In residency, I had a chance work on projects to improve care for severe, potentially life-threatening allergic reactions (anaphylaxis). I’m also very interested in exploring the role of genetics to personalize and optimize medical care, which was the focus of my research during fellowship at UCSF and Johns Hopkins. I look forward to applying new discoveries in this field for your care.
My Recommendations
I encourage patients to be proactive and participate in their health care. This can include staying up to date with immunizations, going to regular visits, being adherent with medicines, and following a healthy diet. Most importantly, I invite you to be involved and ask questions in the hospital.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
