Hello and welcome to my home page!
I was born in Burma (now known as Myanmar) and completing Medical School and internship there. I immigrated to the United States in 1974. I completed another year of Medical internship then pursued and completed three years of training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Afterwards, I practiced Rehabilitation Medicine in Southern California at LA County/USC Medical Center and Ranch Los Amigos Medicine Center until 1998, when I relocated to Sacramento and joined Kaiser Permanente.
Most of my practice is in the Occupational Health Department. I treat injured workers with musculo-skeletal and orthopedic injuries and also perform electrodiagnostic studies to help diagnose nerve disorders like carpal tunnel syndrome.
I spend 1/2 day a week as a Rehabilitation Consultant for the nursing home patients for their rehabilitative care. I like working with patients and families with to guide them through the process of retraining to capture pre-injury functional level as much as possible, with the given medical diagnosis or condition.
